Australian Journal of Political Science
The Australian Journal of Political Science
(formerly Politics) is the official journal of
the Australasian Political Studies Association
and publishes articles on all aspects of politics.
The Journal aims to publish:

quality peer-reviewed refereed articles in
all areas of political studies – including
Australian politics, New Zealand politics,
the government and politics of any country
or region around the world, political philosophy,
international relations, gender politics, political
economy, political sociology, political development,
public policy and public-sector management.

shorter peer-reviewed refereed research notes
-
critical comments and responses in the form
of debates
-
commentaries that provide pithy reports on
major events such as elections, referendums,
significant court decisions and other key developments
in Australia, New Zealand, the Asia-Pacific region
and the world
-
book reviews of major books in the field of
political studies, and especially books written
by academics based in Australia and New Zealand
and/or dealing with relevant Australian and
New Zealand subjects
-
review essays covering a number of books on
a common theme.
The journal is published three times a year,
in March, July and November. These three issues
constitute one volume.
